PM Modi leaves for two-day visit to Bhutan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for his Bhutan tour. Earlier, PM Modi’s proposed state visit to Bhutan was postponed due to bad weather. After this, after fixing the new date from both the sides, now PM Modi has left for Bhutan. In this regard, the picture of PM Modi has also come to light. Under the ‘Neighborhood First Policy’ of the Indian government, Modi was scheduled to visit Bhutan on March 21-22. Let us tell you that PM Modi has left for a two-day visit to Bhutan. After the cancellation of the visit last time, the Ministry of External Affairs had said in its statement that due to bad weather conditions at Paro Airport, a mutual decision has been taken to postpone the state visit of the Prime Minister to Bhutan on 21-22 March 2024.

PM Modi’s visit to Bhutan

In fact, parts of eastern India were receiving heavy rainfall on Wednesday and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued an ‘Orange’ alert for Bihar, Jharkhand, North West Bengal and Odisha. Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay was on a five-day visit to India from Thursday last week. This was his first foreign visit after assuming the charge of Prime Minister in January. During his visit he met President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Modi. Apart from holding meetings with heads of various industries, he also attended several other events.

The journey was postponed due to bad weather

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in North West Bengal and parts of the North-Eastern region in the next two days. Let us tell you that this is not the first time that PM Modi has visited Bhutan. Let us tell you that relations between the two countries are good. In such a situation, the central government, while making changes in its foreign policies, started paying attention to the neighboring countries from the year 2014 itself.
