The India alliance formed to challenge Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP and NDA in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections is now falling apart. First, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee decided to contest the elections alone in West Bengal, while along with this, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also announced to field its candidates on all the Lok Sabha seats of Punjab. Efforts were being made to control the damage regarding the decision of these parties included in the Indian alliance, when in the meantime a game took place in Bihar. JDU chief Nitish Kumar, considered the architect of the India alliance, separated from the grand alliance and joined the BJP-led NDA. Now the attack on India alliance has intensified and it was described as an unnatural alliance.

Raising questions after Nitish Kumar’s separation from the opposition ‘INDIA’ alliance, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said that the INDIA alliance has now become a ‘brain dead’ alliance. Speaking to the media after the all-party meeting called to smoothly run the proceedings of both the houses during the budget session in the Parliament House complex, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said that the India alliance has now become a ‘brain dead’ alliance.

He said that we had already said that this is an unnatural alliance and whatever is unnatural dies soon, hence this alliance has now become ‘brain dead’. The nature of Congress is to fight and break up, hence this fight in Indi is coming to its final stage. (With IANS inputs)
