Possibility of semiconductor in UP.
The dominance of the semiconductor sector has started increasing across the world. Its industry provides benefits in all three fields, technology, economy and employment. Keeping this in mind, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has instructed the concerned officials to formulate the semiconductor policy of the state. A government spokesperson said that CM Yogi has issued instructions in this regard in a high-level meeting called at his residence.
Big role of semiconductor- CM Yogi
In a high-level meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence, CM Yogi said that semiconductors have a big role in today’s rapidly changing technology-oriented era. According to estimates, the revenue of the global semiconductor ecosystem in the financial year 2022 is more than $ 950 billion. Certainly this is a broad field and has immense potential.
The state will make its own attractive policy
CM Yogi Adityanath said in the meeting that to attract investment in the semiconductor sector, the central government has announced an incentive outlay of 10 billion dollars. Incentives are being given by the Center for semiconductor manufacturing services like semiconductor fabs, display fabs, compound semiconductors. The state government should also declare its attractive policy in this regard.
This will be the planning of UP
CM Yogi directed the officials that there should be a provision for distribution of financial and non-financial incentives under its policy to attract global semiconductor investors. Uttar Pradesh will be the third state in the country to do so. CM Yogi has also directed to assess the policies of other states and consult the stakeholders associated with this sector to prepare the semiconductor policy. (input language)
