Phone conversation between Nitish Kumar and Rahul Gandhi
Patna: Preparations have started for the Lok Sabha elections to be held next year. Opposition parties have formed INDIA alliance to counter NDA. The initiative regarding this alliance was taken by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In this regard, he had been meeting many big opposition leaders since last year. Four meetings of this alliance have taken place so far. The first meeting was held in Patna, Bihar. The second took place in Bengaluru, Karnataka, the third in Mumbai and the fourth in Delhi recently.
Nitish Kumar is said to be angry
Nitish Kumar did not attend this meeting. After this it was said that Nitish Kumar was angry. It is being told that he is angry due to not getting much priority in this alliance. Meanwhile, on Thursday 21st December, Congress Rahul Gandhi spoke to him on phone. During this, there was a discussion between the two leaders regarding the discussions and decisions taken during the last meeting and their implementation. Sources are claiming that Nitish Kumar will be given important responsibility in the India alliance and soon decisions will be taken on seat sharing and joint programs.
Mamta Banerjee put forward the name of Mallikarjun Kharge for PM’s face.
It is being told that TMC chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has put forward the name of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for the PM’s face. Many leaders of the India Alliance agreed to his proposal, but many are said to be against it. According to sources, Lalu Yadav and Nitish Kumar were most troubled by this proposal of Mamata Didi. It is being told that both are angry with this proposal of Mamta. This is the reason why till now neither Lalu Yadav has said anything nor any statement has come from Nitish Kumar. Whereas Mamta didi’s stand regarding PM face is loud and clear.
There is a rift in the opposition alliance.
Due to this move of Mamata Banerjee, the alliance seems to be in trouble. At the same time, BJP is showing the mirror of reality to Nitish Kumar as to what is his status in the India alliance. Efforts for damage control are now being made on the ongoing controversy over making Mallikarjun Kharge the PM face in the India alliance. Shiv Sena Uddhav faction leader Sanjay Raut said that he has no objection if Kharge is made the PM candidate. At the same time, Akhilesh Yadav diverted the question of PM face to the ruckus in Parliament.
