Rain alert in 10 states including Bihar-Jharkhand
IMD Weather Updates: There may be rain in many states of the country during the next 24 hours. Whereas there is a possibility of snowfall in the hilly states. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of isolated rain and thundershowers in West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand and Bihar. There may be scattered rain or snowfall with thunderstorms in Arunachal Pradesh. Apart from this, there is a possibility of light rain in Andaman-Nicobar Islands, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Kerala-Mahe during the next 24 hours.
It will rain for two days in these states
The Meteorological Department said that rain is forecast in many states for the next three days till Friday. There is a possibility of storm with hailstorm in eastern India on 14 February. The Meteorological Department said that today there will be rain with strong winds in Bihar-Jharkhand, West Bengal and Sikkim. There will be rain in East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Sikkim and Jharkhand on 14-15 February.

A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to cause scattered to fairly widespread rainfall/snow over the Western Himalayan region during February 17-19 and isolated rainfall over the adjoining plains on February 18 and 19, 2024. During this period, maximum and minimum temperatures will be well above normal across India.

Minimum temperatures are being recorded between 8-11 degrees Celsius in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Western UP and Rajasthan. Amritsar recorded the lowest of 6.1 degrees Celsius. At the same time, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 8.3 degrees Celsius. The mercury reached 11 degrees Celsius in the national capital on Tuesday morning and there was slight haze in some parts of the city. According to IMD, the maximum temperature today is expected to be around 24 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department said that dense fog was seen at different places in Central India and Eastern India this morning. During the next 24 hours, dense fog will be seen in many places including Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Odisha, Delhi during the morning.
