A heart-wrenching incident took place in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. Whoever heard it got goosebumps. Two brothers named Sajid and Javed murdered two innocent children of that family by slitting their throats. The children of the family which had taken pity on Sajid and Javed and helped them, were brutally murdered. The family of the children who were murdered are Hindu and the killers are Muslims. Therefore, due to this heinous massacre, communal tension arose in Badaun. People vandalized and set on fire the hair cutting salon which was run by Sajid and Javed. After a few hours, when it was learned that the police had killed Sajid in an encounter, the crowd calmed down. But still the big question is that when there was no enmity, no rivalry, then why did Sajid and Javed slit the throats of two small innocent children? The mother who gave five thousand rupees to Sajid for his help, why did Sajid abandon her after taking the money? Why did Sajid put a knife on the throat of the child who went to Sajid to give him water? Sajid and Javed’s plan was to destroy the entire family. He also wanted to eliminate the third child, his mother and grandmother present in the house. Sajid was killed in an encounter just hours after the incident. On Thursday morning, Javed surrendered before the police in Bareilly. Police have detained Sajid’s father and uncle.
Investigation revealed that the story Sajid fabricated to ask for help was also a lie. There is only one question in everyone’s mind – what was the fault of Sangeeta’s children? Why killed them? Sangeeta’s husband Vinod works as a contractor. Sangeeta runs her beauty parlor on the first floor of the house. Sajid and Javed’s hair cutting salon is at a short distance from the house. That’s why he was familiar with the family. The children also knew Sajid and Javed. Sangeeta told that at around 6.30 in the evening, Sajid knocked at the door of the house. Javed was also with him. Sajid told Sangeeta that his wife is pregnant, admitted in the hospital, and he has no money. Sangeeta called her husband and on his request gave five thousand rupees to Sajid. But Sajid did not take the money. He said the doctor had called at 11 pm, he wanted to stay for a while. He expressed his desire to see Sangeeta’s beauty parlor. Sangeeta allowed him to come inside the house. Sajid went towards the beauty parlor on the first floor. He called Sangeeta’s 13 year old son Ayush to him. His younger son, 6 year old Ahaan, also left behind. Sangeeta started making tea. When he sent his third son, 9 year old Piyush, with water, Piyush ran down screaming. He saw that Sajid had slit the throats of his two brothers. There was blood scattered all around the room. Sajid also attacked Piyush with a knife but the knife hit Piyush in his hand. Piyush came down, closed the door of the room. Sajid also came down shouting. He was saying that the work for which he had come has accomplished his purpose.
When the noise was raised, Sajid and Javed fled on the motorcycle. The police team chased Sajid and Javed. Police claim that a villager informed that someone was trying to hide blood stained clothes in a forested area near Shekhupur outpost, four to five kilometers away, and the police surrounded that area. Seeing the police, Sajid tried to run away, fired at the chasing police team, a constable was injured. After that the police retaliated in which Sajid was killed. Police have recovered a country-made pistol and cartridge cases near Sajid’s body. After this heart-wrenching incident, the situation is currently under control in Badaun, but when people came to know about this incident, a large number of people took to the streets. First of all people vandalized the salon of Sajid and Javed and then set it on fire. Apart from this, vandalism and arson were also carried out in the surrounding areas. Later, the situation was brought under control by deploying a large number of police. People were pacified by persuasion. After this, politics started on this incident.
Samajwadi Party’s media cell linked the murder of two children to electoral politics. Said that whenever elections come, BJP organizes such incidents to create communal polarisation. Party General Secretary Ram Gopal Yadav said that before the investigation, before the reality of the murder came to light, the police conducted an encounter, this is not right. Because now the reality will never be known. Akhilesh Yadav also gave a purely political statement. The issue was of Badaun and Akhilesh Yadav started talking about Pratapgarh, Jaunpur, what he meant to say was that UP Police has conducted a fake encounter. Akhilesh Yadav said that if the UP Police had been active earlier, perhaps the murder of two children would not have happened. Congress leader Pramod Tiwari said that during the double engine government, crimes are increasing the most but instead of controlling the crimes, the BJP government tries to take political advantage. BJP leader Siddharthnath Singh said that after what happened in Badaun, every sensitive person should show sympathy towards the families of the killed children, but instead of showing sympathy, Samajwadi Party is doing politics.
This is very unfortunate. Even God will not forgive the way Sajid and Javed brutally murdered two innocent children. Now that Javed has been caught, the real reason for this murder will be known. It is surprising that Sajid and Javed knew the families of these innocent children, the parents of these children had helped Sajid and Javed, yet they committed such barbarity. This is a case of mutual acquaintances, the murderers have no criminal background, what could any police force in the world have done in advance in such a case? In such a situation, Akhilesh Yadav’s statement that if the police had been active then the lives of two innocent children could have been saved, is not a political statement, then what else is it? Secondly, calling the killing of such a ruthless criminal by the police as a fake encounter is also a political statement. Any person will look at the children’s family, look at their parents, but how can anyone sympathize with the murderers? It is unfortunate if someone does politics in such a matter. (Rajat Sharma)
