Insult of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is becoming a big issue. BJP protested at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Thursday, while the Jat community demanded that Trinamool MP Kalyan Banerjee and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi publicly apologize for insulting Dhankhar. President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla have expressed deep displeasure and grief. The President said that everyone should take care of the dignity of constitutional posts. Prime Minister Modi called the Vice President and expressed his sympathy and condemned Kalyan Banerjee’s actions. Modi told the Vice President that he himself has been facing similar insults for 20 years. On Wednesday in Delhi, Trinamool President Mamata Banerjee said that if Rahul Gandhi had not made the mimicry video, the matter would not have reached such a high level. Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhary said that the video was not made by Rahul Gandhi alone, Kalyan Banerjee was doing mimicry, which is an art, why feel bad about it, it is not an insult to anyone. After this Rahul Gandhi gave clarification.

When the situation escalated, Rahul Gandhi started being attacked from all sides, then Rahul came forward. He did not accept his mistake, on the contrary he gave advice to the media. Rahul said- “MPs were sitting there, I took their video, my video is on my phone, media is showing all this, media is saying, Modiji is saying, no one here has said anything. Our 150 MPs were thrown out of the Parliament. There is no discussion about it in the media. There is no discussion on Adani, on Rafale France said that investigation is going on, there is no discussion on it, there is no discussion on unemployment. Our MPs are sad here, sitting outside. You are discussing them (mimicry). Please show some news”. It has become Rahul Gandhi’s habit to hold the media responsible for his mistakes. How can they say that the suspension of MPs was not discussed in the media? It happened a lot. Did the media not show Rahul’s statements on Rafale and Adani? Showed a lot. But did the media make fun of the Vice President? Did the media make a video of Dhankhar’s mimicry? This is called – On the contrary, a thief scolds the policeman.

Mamata Banerjee rightly said that if Rahul Gandhi had not made the video and had not laughed at the mimicry of the Rajya Sabha Chairman, the matter would not have become so big. And this is not the first time that Rahul Gandhi has said such things about the media. Rahul had to apologize in writing to the Supreme Court for his misrepresentation on the Rafale issue. Was the media responsible for this? After that, he was punished by Surat court for his statement. Was the media responsible for this also? Then he lost his membership of Parliament. Was the media responsible for this? He lost the elections in three states, is the media responsible for this? Now if Mamata Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal put forward the name of Mallikarjun Kharge instead of Rahul Gandhi in the Indie Alliance meeting, will Rahul blame the media for this too? Not only Kejriwal and Mamta, many people of Congress also feel that Rahul Gandhi cannot win the elections. Talks big during the campaign. Recently, during the assembly elections, Rahul had said that I have deflated all four wheels of Modi’s car. Rahul had said that he will oust Modi in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. But everyone saw what happened. That’s why sometimes you should look into your own backyard. Why did the meeting of the anti-Modi front from which the leaders of the opposition parties had high hopes get derailed? This should also be thought about. (Rajat Sharma)
