Ram Rahim returned to jail after parole for 50 days
Rohtak: Ram Rahim, convicted in the Sadhvi sexual exploitation and journalist murder case, has returned to jail after 50 days parole. Ram Rahim had come out of jail on January 19 and today at 5 pm he returned back to Sunaria Jail in Rohtak. During this period, Haryana Police had made special security arrangements. All the people coming and going around the jail were being investigated.
Ram Rahim has been granted parole 9 times
Let us tell you that within four years of being sentenced, Ram Rahim has been granted parole 9 times. This time, when he came out of jail on January 19, the Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee had filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court opposing the grant of parole to Ram Rahim. While hearing this petition, the High Court has asked the BJP government of Haryana to take permission from the High Court before granting parole to Ram Rahim.
Hearing will be held in High Court on March 13
In this matter, a question was asked to the Haryana government that how many more people are there who have been given parole like Ram Rahim, the list should also be submitted to the court. Now the next hearing in this case will be on March 13. Let us tell you that Ram Rahim was given parole for the first time on 24 October 2020. During this time, he was given parole for one day to meet his ailing mother. Also on 21 May 2021, he came out of jail for a day.
Now the state government will not be able to shirk the prisoner’s rights.
In the year 2022, he was sent out of jail on parole thrice and in the year 2023 also he came out thrice. During this period, whenever the opposition raised questions on the Haryana government, the government used to shrug it off by calling it the prisoner’s right. This time when he came out, a petition was filed against him in the High Court and now whenever Ram Rahim is given parole, permission will be taken from the Haryana High Court before that.
