Ramlala’s life consecration festival starting from January 16 in Ayodhya

Ayodhya: All preparations for the consecration of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on 22 January have been completed. The idol of Ramlala will also reach the sanctum sanctorum on January 18. Other programs related to this will also start on January 16. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Janmabhoomi Mandir Trust Secretary Champat Rai, while talking to the media today, shared information about the programs to be held from January 16.

Champat Rai told that the auspicious time for Lord Shri Ramlala’s Pran-Pratishtha Yoga is Paush Shukla Kurm Dwadashi, Vikram Samvat 2080, i.e. Monday, January 22, 2024. He informed that following all the classical traditions, the consecration program will be conducted in Abhijeet Muhurta. The auspicious rituals before consecration of life will start from January 16, 2024, which will continue till January 21, 2024.

During this period, Dwadash Adhivas will be organized as follows-

  • 16 January: Atonement and Karmakuti worship
  • 17 January: Entrance of the statue to the premises
  • 18 January (evening): Pilgrimage worship, water journey, Jaladhivas and Gandhadhivas.
  • 19 January (morning): Aushadhivas, Kesaradhivas, Ghritadhivas
  • 19 January (evening): Dhanyadhivas
  • 20th January (Morning): Shakradhivas, Faladhivas
  • 20 January (evening): Pushpadhivas
  • January 21 (morning): Mid-session
  • January 21 (evening): Bedtime

3. Domicile Process and Acharya: Generally, there are seven adhivas in the life consecration ceremony and a minimum of three adhivas are done in practice. There will be 121 Acharyas who will coordinate, support and guide all the processes of the ritual of the ceremony. Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid will monitor, coordinate and guide all the processes, and Laxmikant Dixit of Kashi will be the chief Acharya.

4. Special Guests: The consecration will take place in the presence of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Mohan Bhagwat, Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath and other dignitaries.

5. Miscellaneous Establishments: Acharyas of all schools of Indian spirituality, religion, sects, worship methods, traditions, saints of more than 150 traditions, prominent personalities of more than 50 tribal, Girivasi, Tatvasi, Dweepavi tribal traditions including Mahamandaleshwar, Mandaleshwar, Shrimahant, Mahant, Naga etc. There will be presence in the program, who will come to Shri Ram Temple premises to witness the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony.

6. Historical Tribal Participation: For the first time in the history of India, residents of mountains, forests, coastal areas, islands etc. are participating in such a function at one place. It will be unique in itself.

7. Ingrained traditions, Shaiva, Vaishnav, Shakta, Ganapatya, Patya, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Dashnam Shankar, Ramanand, Ramanuj, Nimbarka, Madhav, Vishnu Nami, Ramsanehi, Ghisapanth, Garibdasi, Gaudiya, Kabirpanthi, Valmiki, Shankardev (Assam), Madhav Dev, Many respected traditions like ISKCON, Ramakrishna Mission, Chinmoy Mission, Bharat Sevashram Sangh, Gayatri Parivar, Anukul Chandra Thakur Tradition, Mahima Samaj of Odisha, Akali, Nirankari, Namdhari (Punjab), Radhasoami and Swaminarayan, Varkari, Veer Shaiva etc. will participate in it.

8. Darshan and Celebration: After the completion of the Pran Pratistha program in the sanctum sanctorum, all the witnessing dignitaries will be given darshan. There is a feeling of enthusiasm everywhere for the consecration of Shri Ramlala. It has been resolved to celebrate it with great enthusiasm throughout India including Ayodhya. Before the ceremony, people from different states are continuously coming with water, soil, gold, silver, gems, clothes, jewellery, huge bells, drums, fragrances etc. The most notable among them were the bhaaras (gifts sent at the time of establishment of a daughter’s house) sent by Maa Janaki’s maternal house, which were brought to Ayodhya from her maternal grandmother’s house in Janakpur (Nepal) and Sitamarhi (Bihar). Gifts of various types of jewelery etc. have also been sent from Prabhu’s maternal home located in Raipur, Dandakaranya area.
