Red alert of heavy rain
Weather News Today: Change in weather is being seen today in many states of North India. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rain and hailstorm in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh for Monday. During the next 24 hours, heavy rainfall ranging from 115.6 to 204.4 mm may occur at isolated places in these states. Whereas an orange alert has been issued for heavy rain and snowfall in Uttarakhand. There may be 115.6 to 204.4 mm rainfall today, while on February 20, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall (64.5 to 115.5 mm) at isolated places.
Red alert issued for rain, snowfall
According to the Meteorological Department, a red alert has been issued for Monday in seven out of 12 districts of Himachal Pradesh for heavy to very heavy rain, snowfall and hailstorm, besides lightning and strong winds. The Meteorological Department office issued a red alert for Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur and Shimla districts. Strong winds can blow at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour in these districts. The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert for heavy rain and snowfall in some districts, strong winds blowing at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour and lightning at different places for February 20.
How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR?
The weather remained clear in the entire NCR including Delhi and Noida on Monday morning. Strong winds are blowing here. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted partly cloudy sky and fog in Delhi on Monday, with the minimum temperature being 9 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature being 27 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with strong winds on Monday and cloudy sky, moderate rain or drizzle on Tuesday-Wednesday.
UP-Haryana-Punjab weather
At the same time, there is a possibility of hailstorm at isolated places in West UP, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on February 19 and 20 with strong winds (speed of 40-50 km per hour). According to weather conditions, drizzle may also occur at these places.
The weather will be normal here
The Meteorological Department says that the weather will be normal today in other states including Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Northeast India. The Meteorological Department says that fog can be seen at these places during the morning.
