A suspected case of food poisoning has been reported in Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala in which several people, including children, fell ill after eating food in a restaurant. Everyone was hurriedly admitted to different hospitals. It is being told that all the people have become victims of food poisoning.
Health department closed the restaurant
Police said that after eating food at ‘Spicy Hotel’ restaurant on Thursday, about 20 people, including 9 members of a family, reached various hospitals for treatment. Police said that the health of all the affected people is stable and the health department has closed the restaurant today. At present no one has filed a complaint with the police.
A relative of one of the affected people told a TV channel that his family members had ordered food from a restaurant on Thursday evening and everyone started vomiting and having diarrhea this morning.
