‘Rich leaders should not be stingy in donating to the party fund’, Rahul said during the meeting

New Delhi: Nowadays, contesting elections has become very expensive. Lakhs of rupees are spent every day to run a political party. There are meetings every day. Rallies and meetings are organized. Parties also provide funds to their candidates to contest elections. Along with this, there are many office expenses. All these expenses are often incurred from the money received through donations.

Lok Sabha elections are to be held in the next few weeks. Political parties are busy preparing for this. In this sequence, the Congress Party is also taking out Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from East to West. This journey is also going to cost crores of rupees. Even before this, the party had started taking donations for December 2023. In this, on completion of 138 years of the party, an appeal was made to the common people as well as party leaders to donate.

‘Rich leaders should not be stingy at all in donating to the party fund.’

Now, during a meeting held at the central office on Thursday, Rahul Gandhi has given instructions to the rich leaders of the party also. According to sources, Rahul Gandhi has told rich leaders not to be stingy at all in donating to the party fund. He said that only with the help of this donation the party will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and the assembly elections to be held in many other states. Therefore, wealthy leaders should not be stingy at all in donating to the party fund.

‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will start from January 14’

After this meeting held in Delhi, party general secretary Jairam Ramesh shared all the information regarding the upcoming Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra. He told that this yatra will pass through 15 states of the country. During this time it will cover a distance of approximately 6713 kilometers. This will take approximately 66 days and will cover 110 districts in 15 states. The yatra will be led by Rahul Gandhi and will start from Imphal and end in Mumbai.
