Ruckus in INDI Alliance in Maharashtra too!

As Lok Sabha elections 2024 approach, cracks in the alliance of opposition parties i.e. INDI Alliance have started coming to the fore. Earlier there were reports of Nitish’s displeasure, but now Congress and Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) are at loggerheads over the seats in Maharashtra. There are reports that the Uddhav faction in the state’s Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has staked claim on 23 Lok Sabha seats. Let us tell you that MVA includes Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (Sharad faction). After this claim of Uddhav group, there has been a sharp reaction from Congress also.

Seat sharing is a complex subject – Congress

Maharashtra Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam has given a statement regarding seat sharing between Maha Vikas Aghadi. He said that seat sharing is a complex subject, the decision on it cannot be taken so easily. He said that if all the parties of INDI Alliance want to defeat BJP together then we first need to stop the internal strife.

Where will we go- Sanjay Nirupam

Sanjay Nirupam has also given a sharp statement on the claim on seats made by the Uddhav group. He said, “I came to know from the newspaper that Shiv Sena has demanded 23 seats, which is too many. If we give you (UBT Shiv Sena) 23 seats out of 48, then where will we fight.” Instead of demanding it publicly, they need to put it forward during the alliance meeting. The real truth is that in the last one year, Shiv Sena broke and many prominent leaders left the party. Same is the situation of NCP also.

Alliance committee meeting will be held tomorrow

Congress has formed an alliance committee to discuss the issue of seat sharing. This committee will meet the party leaders of Maharashtra on Friday at 12 noon. In this committee, Mukul Wasnik is the convener and Salman Khurshid, Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Baghel and Mohan Prakash are the members. This committee will discuss about alliance in different states.
