Today is the fifth anniversary of Pulwama attack. In the year 2019, on 14th February, there was a terrorist attack in Pulwama of South Kashmir. 40 soldiers were martyred in this terrorist attack. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered the martyrs of Pulwama terrorist attack and paid tribute to them. He said that the country will always remember his sacrifice.

PM Modi wrote on his ‘X’ account, ‘I pay tribute to the heroes martyred in Pulwama. His service and sacrifice for our nation will always be remembered.” The entire country was shaken by the terrorist attack on 14 February 2019. During this, terrorists targeted the vehicles of security forces, in which 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred.

A suicide bomber rammed a vehicle laden with explosives into a CRPF bus, following which 40 force personnel were martyred in the blast. This bus was part of a convoy going from Jammu to Srinagar. In response, the Indian Air Force carried out an air strike on February 26, 2019, targeting terrorist camps in Balakot, Pakistan.
