Sadhguru’s Mahashivratri celebration at Isha Yoga Center

Coimbatore: “Kashi” themed Mahashivratri celebrations have begun with pomp at Sadhguru’s Isha Yoga Centre. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also attended the ceremony. The celebration of Mahashivratri at Sadhguru’s Ashram in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu is quite famous. A large number of people participate in this event.

In his address on the occasion, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said that Mahashivratri celebrations at Isha Yoga Center are beyond language, nationality, religion and culture. He said that this is a great need for the current world. He said that the methods here are unique, in which the four paths of devotion, action, karma and knowledge have been described. This comprehensive approach satisfies the thirst and concern of every person on earth.

Praising Sadhguru’s efforts, Vice President Dhankhar said, Sadhguru creates compassion and inclusivity in a divided and sick world. His focus has been on grassroots issues related to humanity and earth, due to which he has been praised everywhere. The event was also attended by Tamil Nadu Governor Thiru RN Ravi, Tripura Governor Indrasen Reddy, Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit and Union Minister Thiru L Murugan. The celebrations began with the Linga Bhairavi Utsav idol procession and Maha Aarti. Later, Sadhguru welcomed the dignitaries at the event.

The Vice President said in his address that this is a rare moment in my life! I am feeling divine. These celebrations are unique, unforgettable! The Vice President said that it is an absolute privilege and honor to be a part of the Maha Shivratri celebrations at the Isha Yoga Centre. Let us tell you that this ceremony, which started at 6 pm on Friday, will continue till 6 am on March 9.

Welcoming the Vice President and other dignitaries to the programme, Sadhguru shared stories related to the 30-year journey of Mahashivratri festival. He said there were about 70 people in 1994 and there was one woman who only knew two songs. He sang two songs there throughout the night. But we were so crazy in our devotion to Lord Shiva that we danced and meditated the whole night and celebrated with just those two songs. And now after 30 years everything has changed. Sadhguru said that on the night of Mahashivratri, there is a natural surge of energy, which only humans get the privilege of harnessing.
