Kolkata: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that terrorism is counting its last breaths in Kashmir Valley and the security situation there is better than West Bengal. Manoj Sinha said this in a program organized in Kolkata on Friday. Take. TMC has strongly criticized this statement of the Governor.

Terrorism is counting its last breaths in the valley

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Friday that after the abrogation of Article 370, the security situation in this Union Territory has improved and terrorism is counting its last breaths in the Valley. Sinha termed the terrorist attack on an army convoy in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday as ‘unfortunate’. Five soldiers were martyred and two others were injured in this attack. He blamed the ‘neighbours’ for attempts to disturb peace in the valley. His reference was clearly towards Pakistan.

The situation improved a lot after the removal of Article 370.

Manoj Sinha said, “This is a very unfortunate incident.” We condemn such violence. Our neighbor is taking such actions to disturb the peace in the valley, but it is all in vain as terrorism is taking its last breath in Kashmir.” he told reporters on the sidelines of an event organized by the Calcutta Chamber of Commerce here. Said, “After the removal of Article 370, the security situation has improved to a great extent compared to before.”

Conditions are better than Bengal, you go, you will know the difference.

Answering some questions from the chamber members, Sinha also said, “The security situation in Kashmir is better than that of Bengal. Please visit the state, you will understand the difference.” However, when journalists later asked about his comment, he said, ”My comment should not be politically distorted. Because what I meant to say was that the security situation in Kashmir is as good as in Bengal.

TMC termed the comments as baseless

His remarks comparing the law and order situation in West Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir drew a sharp reaction from the ruling Trinamool Congress. Trinamool Congress spokesperson Kunal Ghosh urged Sinha not to “misuse the chair of the Lieutenant Governor” and cautioned him against making baseless comments against West Bengal. (input language)
