Pran Pratishtha program is to be organized at Ram temple in Ayodhya on 22 January. On this day, the idol of Ramlala will be consecrated in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Invitations have been sent to all the big personalities of the country including PM Modi to participate in this program. However, leaders of many opposition parties have refused to attend the program even after receiving the invitation. In this sequence, NCP chief Sharad Pawar has also refused to go to Ayodhya on 22nd.

NCP supremo Sharad Pawar has written a letter to Champat Rai, General Secretary of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, expressing his gratitude on receiving the invitation for the consecration of Ram Lala in Ayodhya. Sharad Pawar has written in his letter that after the Pran Pratishtha is completed on January 22, he will freely take out time and come to Ayodhya for darshan. He also wrote that by then the construction work of Ram temple will also be completed.
Congress and Akhilesh also denied
Only last month, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Congress Parliamentary Party President Adhir Ranjan Choudhary had received an invitation from the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust for the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. However, the Congress said that it had respectfully declined the invitation while accepting the 2019 Supreme Court decision and respecting the faith of the people. At the same time, SP President Akhilesh Yadav has also said that he will go to Ayodhya after January 22.
