Chanakyapuri police of the capital New Delhi has arrested a vicious thug named Mrinak Singh. The cunningness of this fraudster can be gauged from the fact that he has defrauded many luxury hotel owners/managers across the country by making claims like representing Mumbai Indians team of IPL, being a senior IPS officer of Karnataka state and many other claims. According to the police, this swindler has also defrauded Indian team’s international cricketer Rishabh Pant. Let us know the complete story of this conman.

According to the information given by the police, Mrinak Singh has played Under-19 cricket for Haryana. The accused has been arrested for allegedly defrauding Taj Palace Hotel of Rs 5 lakh in July 2022. According to the police, the accused, posing as a cricketer, was staying in the hotel and when asked for the fare, he said that his company Adidas would pay the amount. He later said he would send his driver with cash to pay the dues, but did not send anyone to the hotel.

Told his father to be an international cricketer
A non-bailable warrant was issued against the accused by the local court. On Monday he was taken into custody at IGI airport. It was found that he was trying to fly to Hong Kong. According to the information, the accused repeatedly misled the police when interrogated. She also claimed that her father was an international cricket player for India from the 1980s to 1990s and is currently working as a manager with Air India at IGI Airport.
Rishabh Pant was also cheated
When accused Mrinank Singh was detained at the airport, he identified himself as Karnataka ADGP Alok Kumar. He made another attempt to influence the airport authorities by calling several senior police officers. Cricketer Rishabh Pant was also defrauded of Rs 1.63 crore in 2020-21. Mrinank Singh is being said to be involved in this also. The mobile phone of the accused has revealed his friendship with young models/girls and it contains several videos and photographs, some of which are extremely objectionable. (Input: IANS)
