New Delhi: India’s leaders are now haunted by the fear of disunity in the alliance. National Conference President Farooq Abdullah said in this connection that if there is no consensus on seat sharing soon, then there is a threat to the ‘INDIA’ alliance. Taking his point further, he said that some members of the alliance may try to form a separate faction. During a discussion with former Union Minister Kapil Sibal on his YouTube channel, Abdullah said, ‘If we have to save the country, we have to forget the differences and think about the country.’

‘Parties should ask for seats only where they have dominance’

Farooq Abdullah said, ‘If the seat sharing arrangement is not finalized then there is a danger to the alliance. This should be done as soon as possible. It is possible that some parties may come together to form separate alliances, which seems to me to be the biggest danger. there’s still time.’ He said that parties should demand only those seats where they have dominance. Abdullah said that it is wrong to demand seats where a particular party is not effective. He said, ‘Democracy is not only in danger, the coming generation will also not forgive us.’

‘There is not much time left for seat distribution’

The National Conference chief said, ‘That challenge is before us. If we don’t leave aside our egos and think together about how to save this country, I think it will be the biggest mistake on our part. Abdullah said that the alliance members recently met in a hotel in Delhi where it was agreed that there was not much time left to agree on the seats. Let us tell you that no consensus has been reached yet regarding seat distribution among the constituent parties of India, in such a situation many types of voices have started being raised.

‘Increasing differences by giving statements against Mamata’

Abdullah also said that last time West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was not ready to share seats with the Left, but this time in the meeting she said that the Left can contest elections from where it can win. Abdullah said that people are increasing differences by giving statements against Mamata. Sibal asked that ‘BJP people take the name of Lord Ram but do not follow his ideals’, on this Abdullah said, ‘Ram Raj means equality for all. Lord Ram was the Ram of the world and I hope that one day Ram Raj will come.
