SC will hear Mahua Moitra case today
New Delhi: After her expulsion from the Lok Sabha, former TMC MP Mahua Moitra had filed a petition in the Supreme Court. Mahua had approached the court raising questions on her expulsion from the Lok Sabha. Now the court will hear this matter today. Justice Sanjeev Khanna’s bench will hear
The petition filed by Mahua will be heard by a bench headed by Justice Sanjeev Khanna. Moitra had on Wednesday requested for an early hearing of her petition. After this, Chief Justice DY Chandrachud had assured that the top court would consider the listing request immediately. In her petition, Mahua Moitra has challenged the disqualification and said that she was not allowed to defend herself in the Lok Sabha during the discussion on the findings of the Ethics Committee.
