Supreme Court’s decision regarding Article 370 is not only legal but also a ray of hope – PM Modi

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has upheld the Central Government’s decision to abrogate Article 370. While giving the verdict, the court said that 370 was a temporary provision. The Central Government could have repealed this provision and they have done nothing wrong by doing so. Now after this decision, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tweeted. He said that the court has approved the decision to abrogate Article 370.

He wrote in his tweet. “Today’s Supreme Court decision on abrogation of Article 370 is historic and constitutionally upholds the decision taken by the Parliament of India on 5 August 2019. It brings hope, hope and peace to our sisters and brothers in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. is a glorious declaration of progress and unity. The Court, with its profound wisdom, has strengthened the very essence of unity which we, as Indians, hold dear and cherish above all else.

‘Our responsibility to fulfill your dreams’

PM Modi said that I want to assure the humble people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh that our commitment to fulfill your dreams is unwavering. We are committed to ensuring that the benefits of progress not only reach you, but also reach the most vulnerable and marginalized sections of our society who suffered because of Article 370.

Separatism and stone pelting in the state are now things of the past – Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “After the removal of Article 370, the rights of the poor and the deprived have been restored and separatism and stone pelting are now things of the past. The entire area now resonates with melodious music and cultural tourism. With the spirit of unity The bonds have strengthened and the integrity with India has strengthened.It is once again Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh which always belonged to our country and will always remain so.

He said that our government is committed to establishing lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and all-round development of the region. Be it boosting the local economy with new incentives, building state-of-the-art educational infrastructure, or empowering the poor with welfare benefits, we will continue to do our best for the region.
