Environmentalist Bhavarin Kandhari said that information about bursting of firecrackers was also received in his residential area Defense Colony. Shopkeepers seen selling firecrackers in violation of ban

Till 3:30 in the evening, there were less fireworks in Greater Kailash and Chittaranjan Park areas. People of the area said that it seems that people will burst crackers after the puja. In Chhatarpur area of ​​South Delhi, sounds of firecrackers started being heard from 6 pm itself. Many shopkeepers in the area were seen selling small firecrackers to children in violation of the ban. Some people also burst firecrackers in East of Kailash area of ​​South Delhi. After 6:30 in the evening, intermittent sounds of firecrackers started being heard from far-flung houses. In some areas, firecrackers were burst with less intensity and in some areas with more intensity.

This time there were less fireworks

Whereas in Lalita Park area of ​​Laxmi Nagar, very few firecrackers were burst till 7.30 pm. Locals said fireworks may increase later in the night. Fewer crackers were burst in many other areas of East Delhi. However, according to the residents of these areas, there have been very few fireworks this year compared to last year. The Supreme Court had on November 7 said that the order banning barium-containing firecrackers applies to every state and is not limited to Delhi-NCR, which is battling severe air pollution.
