CM Yogi and Champat Rai had given the responsibility
Actually, everyone was preparing to welcome Ramlala. During this time, when the question came that how would Ramlala wear clothes? Delhi designer Manish Tripathi found the solution to this. He talked to Trust Secretary Champat Rai and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding the design of Ramlala’s clothes. Both of them liked Manish’s idea and design and the responsibility of preparing Ramlala’s clothes was given to Manish.

Talking to India TV, Manish says that he was working on Ramlala’s clothes for the last 3 years. His team was also with him. Many designs were worked on. The cloth for Ramlala’s clothes was prepared from Varanasi. He tells that it is mentioned in Shri Ramcharitmanas that Lord Ram used to wear Pitambar. After this, we got the cloth prepared by mixing gold and silver in Varanasi. Along with this, gold and silver threads were also used in its stitching.

A team of 15 people worked together
Manish Tripathi tells that I and my 15-member team were in Ayodhya for the last 40 days. During this we were told that the idol of Ramlala was made from a single stone. We had to prepare clothes accordingly. This was a challenging task for us, but by the grace of Ramlala it became possible. Manish says that he has prepared a dhoti, two patkas including a waist patka and a shawl according to winter for Ramlala. Ramlala was wearing these clothes at the time of consecration.
‘Today life has become blessed’
During this, Manish got emotional and said that today when I saw that Ramlala was wearing the clothes prepared by me, I became emotional. My life and that of my team has been blessed. This is such a moment for us as if we have got the fruits of all our births today. Manish says that this is the biggest day for me and my team and I think that now we will not be able to design anything more beautiful than Ramlala’s clothes.
