Just before the inauguration of the airport, Air India Express had announced on Friday, December 29 that direct flights to Ayodhya would be operated from three cities of the country. On Saturday, the first flight took off from Delhi for the religious city Ayodhya. On this special occasion, Indigo flight pilot Captain Ashutosh Shekhar welcomed the passengers by saying ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
