Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address at the golden jubilee program of Amul, said that the sapling planted by the villages of Gujarat has today become a banyan tree and the branches of this banyan tree have spread across the country and abroad. In his address, he mentioned the achievements of Amul and described it as remarkable for the small cattle farmers of Gujarat.
PM Modi said that after India’s independence, many brands were created in the country but there is no one like Amul. Today Amul has become a symbol of the strength of India’s cattle rearers. PM Modi said that the emphasis of our government is on making the food provider an energy provider as well as a fertilizer provider.
He said that today Amul is at the height of success only because of women power. Today, when India is moving ahead with the mantra of Women Led Development, this success of India’s dairy sector is a great inspiration. To make India developed, it is equally important to increase the economic power of every woman in India. Therefore, today our government is also working all-round to increase the economic power of women.
PM Modi said that we are working giving priority to every aspect of the village. Our focus is on how to improve the life of small farmers… how to increase the scope of animal husbandry… how to improve the health of animals… how to encourage pisciculture and beekeeping along with animal husbandry in the villages.
