The trend of 40 percent bribe continues even in the Congress government, Karnataka Contractors Association alleges – India TV Hindi

The President of Karnataka Contractors Association has made a big allegation against the Congress government of the state. He has said that like the previous government, the trend of 40 percent bribe for government contracts continues under the Congress rule also. Let us tell you that during the BJP government in Karnataka, the contractors’ association had accused ministers, elected representatives and others of demanding 40 percent commission for awarding contracts and approving bills. Congress had capitalized on this issue on a large scale in the election campaign. However, Karnataka Contractors Association says that the situation remains the same even after the change of government.

What did the President of the Contractors Association say?

Karnataka State Contractors Association President D.Kempanna on Thursday said that “Corruption by officials continues in Karnataka. Till now no MLA, MP or Minister has asked for money from us. The first MLA to give us a contract for work Used to ask for a fixed amount, now such situation is not there. Officials come and ask – If you want work then give money. When we ask to whom the money should be given, they (officials) say – You (know) this. Why want? If you want work, pay money.”

Wrote a letter to PM Modi
Let us tell you that under the leadership of D. Kempanna, the contractors’ union had accused the ministers, elected representatives and others of the then BJP government of harassment and demanding 40 percent commission for awarding contracts and approving the bill. The contractors had also written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard.

Don’t want to reveal name- D.Kempanna
Contractors Association President D.Kempanna has said that he will not reveal the identity of the officials demanding bribe. Kempanna said- “I am already facing five defamation cases, so I do not want to reveal the names of the officers right now. Such officers are in all departments.” (input language)
