This special part of Chandrayaan-3 returned to the Earth’s atmosphere,

On August 23 this year, India had created history in the world by landing Chandrayaan-3 in the southern part of the Moon. Chandrayaan’s Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover had done research on many things including the mystery of solar system formation, water and many minerals on the surface of the Moon. Now ISRO has shared another big update regarding this program. An important part of Chandrayaan-3 has re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere.

ISRO has said that the ‘cryogenic’ upper part of the LVM3 M4 launch vehicle, which successfully placed the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft in the prescribed orbit, has uncontrolled re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere on Wednesday. ISRO has informed that the rocket body which was part of Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft has re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere.

did not pass over India

According to the information released by ISRO, the final ‘ground track’ of this part of Chandrayaan-3 has not passed over India. Its probable impact point is estimated to be over the North Pacific Ocean. Let us tell you that the rocket body re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere within 124 days of its launch.

Where are Vikram and Pragyan now?

Lander Vikram and Rover Pragyan successfully completed their mission and conducted many researches on the south pole of the Moon. ISRO had put both the instruments in sleep mode after the work was over and the moon got dark. However, the receiver of Vikram Lander was kept on so that contact with the Earth could be reestablished.
