Amidst the ongoing political storm in Jharkhand, today the Enforcement Directorate team will go to interrogate Hemant Soren. Let us tell you that amid the reports of disappearance, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren had agreed to the inquiry on January 31. Chief Minister Hemant Soren is facing the threat of ED arrest in the alleged land scam case. The ED team had reached Soren’s Delhi residence on Monday and camped there for more than 13 hours. However, Hemant Soren was not found there. It is believed that ED may arrest Hemant soon.
Inquiry in Hemant’s stronghold
ED will interrogate Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the land scam case at 1 pm on Wednesday in Ranchi. In the email received by ED on Monday from Soren’s side, it was mentioned that he would be present for questioning at 1 pm on Wednesday. According to the information, only officials of ED’s Ranchi office will interrogate Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

If sources are to be believed, deployment of a large number of paramilitary forces is possible during the interrogation of Hemant Soren. ED had sought additional forces from the Center to interrogate Soren in his stronghold for the safety of its officers and to maintain law and order. MLAs from allies of the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) led alliance in Jharkhand have expressed solidarity with the Hemant Soren government in a meeting on Tuesday. These MLAs also signed a letter of support without anyone’s name amid speculations that Chief Minister’s wife Kalpana Soren would be handed over the command. Earlier today, Kalpana Soren attended a meeting of MLAs. He is not an MLA.
