Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has suffered a major setback. Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s sister-in-law and JMM MLA Sita Soren has resigned from all party posts. Sita Soren was said to be angry ever since Hemant Soren resigned from the post of Chief Minister and Chapai Soren was made the new Chief Minister of Jharkhand. Sita Soren is the MLA from Jama constituency.

My late husband made Jharkhand Mukti Morcha a great party on the strength of his sacrifice and dedication and leadership ability. Today That party is no more. I am deeply saddened to see that the party has now passed into the hands of those whose vision and objectives do not match our values ​​and ideals.”
