National anthem played wrongly in Congress program
Thiruvananthapuram: A case of wrongly singing the national anthem has come to light in a Congress program. Veteran Congress leaders Sachin Pilot and Shashi Tharoor were also present on the stage when the national anthem was being sung. BJP has complained to Thiruvananthapuram City Police Commissioner regarding wrong singing of the national anthem and demanded registration of a case.
Actually, Thursday was the concluding day of Congress program Samaragni. A large number of Congress leaders and workers were also present in this program. The national anthem was to be played at the end of the program. Thiruvananthapuram Congress District President P Ravi started singing the national anthem on the stage. As soon as he sang the first line, another Congress leader standing nearby snatched the mike from him and removed him. After this a woman worker completed the national anthem.
During this entire incident, senior Congress leaders and former Union Ministers Shashi Tharoor and Sachin Pilot were also present on the stage. BJP is in a dilemma after the video of this incident surfaced. BJP has complained to the City Police Commissioner and demanded registration of a case.
