New Delhi: A virtual meeting of the India Alliance was held on Saturday for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Many topics were discussed in this meeting. After the meeting, news came that Mallikarjun Kharge has been made the president of the alliance. When Nitish Kumar’s name came up for the post of coordinator, he refused to accept the post. After this, some parties proposed Lalu’s name, on which Nitish Kumar said that if it is so, then make Lalu ji the name.

Now it is believed that Nitish Kumar is angry after this meeting. Former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has taken a dig at Nitish Kumar. While tweeting, he said that he is saddened by whatever is happening with Nitish Kumar. Jitan Ram Manjhi wrote, “When someone is made a commander with the dream of becoming a king, then why would he become a commander?” He said that Lalu ji should answer why he is doing this with Nitish Kumar? Jitan Ram wrote, “Well, what have all these people done to man by showing him his dreams.” We are very sad.
Becoming a coordinator is media’s agenda – JDU
At the same time, JDU state president Umesh Kushwaha said, becoming a convenor can be the media’s agenda but our leaders are the architects of opposition unity. The whole country is looking at our leader as the leader of the opposition, the whole country is looking towards him with hope and confidence. Umesh Kushwaha said, our leader does not have an agenda to become the convener, we have only one agenda – remove BJP and save the country. The India alliance has taken on a huge size due to which the BJP is feeling uneasy. He has lost sleep. The public will teach a lesson to the BJP people.
Kharge’s name was raised for the post of PM in the last meeting
It is noteworthy that in the last meeting of the India Alliance, Mamata Banerjee had proposed the name of Mallikarjun Kharge for the post of Prime Minister, on which Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal also agreed. However, then Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge rejected this proposal. He had said that first win the elections and then the PM will decide the candidate.
