Weather forecast: Rain increases cold in UP including Delhi-NCR, threat of cyclone in Tamil Nadu

New Delhi: The chances of a cyclonic storm have increased in Tamil Nadu, South India. It is raining heavily across the state. Apart from Tamil Nadu, the threat of cyclonic storm Michong is also looming in Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Puducherry and West Bengal. Apart from this, it is cloudy in Delhi-NCR also. Sporadic rain has also occurred at some places. In such a situation, due to rain, the temperature of Delhi has dropped. There has also been light rain in many areas of Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain and thundershowers at different places in UP.

Rain in many areas of Tamil Nadu

As Cyclone Michong approached the coast, many parts of Chennai witnessed heavy rains. Along with this, it is raining in many parts of Kanchipuram also. NDRF team rescued around 15 people from Tambaram area near Peerkankaranai and Perungalathur after severe water logging following heavy rains in Tamil Nadu. Bridge number 14 between Basin Bridge and Vyasarpadi has been suspended due to safety reasons in view of water flowing above the danger level in Tamil Nadu.

Many trains canceled due to storm

On December 4, six trains running from Dr. MGR Chennai Central – Mysuru Shatabdi Express, Coimbatore Kovai Express, Coimbatore Shatabdi Express, KSR Bengaluru AC Double Decker Express, KSR Bengaluru Brindavan Express, Tirupati Saptagiri Express have been cancelled. The Chennai Meteorological Department has issued warnings of rain, storm and lightning for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

At the same time, due to western disturbance, changes are being seen in the weather in the surrounding areas of UP. According to meteorologists, the impact of Cyclonic Storm Michong will be seen from 6 to 7 December. Its effect will also be seen in South Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and other nearby areas. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Agra, Meerut, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Hathras, Mainpuri, Kanpur, Auraiya, Fursatganj, Fatehpur, Prayagraj, Sant Kabir Nagar, Bairaich, Bareilly on Monday. Along with this, there is a possibility of light rain in Varanasi and Mau districts. There is a possibility of fog in Bareilly, Fursatganj, Gorakhpur and Meerut.
