According to the ED chargesheet, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was embroiled in the excise scam due to the statements of Magunta Srinivasulu. According to the ED charge sheet, Magunta Srinivasulu, in his statement given on July 14, 2023, told the investigating agency that in March 2021, I had met Arvind Kejriwal after seeing the advertisement for privatization of liquor business in Delhi. His office had given me the time of March 16 at 4:30 pm during the Parliament session in March, 2021.
Rs 100 crore offer
Magunta Srinivasulu has told ED that Arvind Kejriwal told Magunta at that time that Telangana Chief Minister Chandra Shekhar Rao’s daughter K Kavita had also approached me for doing liquor business in Delhi. He has offered to donate Rs 100 crore to Aam Aadmi Party. She will call you for this liquor business or you can call her as her team is already working on it.
Allegation of collusion between Kejriwal and K Kavita
According to the ED charge sheet, Magunta Srinivasulu’s son Raghav Magunta told in his statement that after the agreement between K Kavitha and his father, he gave Rs 25 crore in cash to South Lobby’s Abhishek Boinpillai and Buchi Babu. This is the reason why ED has claimed that K Kavita hatched the entire conspiracy with Arvind Kejriwal. Therefore, now after getting the remand of Arvind Kejriwal, ED will make Kavita and Kejriwal sit face to face and interrogate them.
