Now Congress Treasurer Ajay Maken has shared the information as to how much donations the party has received so far under the Donate Four Nations campaign after its launch. Let us tell you that the party had released this campaign on December 18.
Donation received more than Rs 10 crore
Congress Treasurer Ajay Maken has said that till now the party has received a total of more than Rs 10 crore donations in 2 weeks. Maken said that our online donation campaign has concluded its second week with an unprecedented achievement. We have raised Rs 10 crore. Maken has heartily thanked those who donated for this achievement.
Appeal to those who do not donate
Ajay Maken has also appealed to those who have not donated till now under Donate for the Country. He said that this is the time to strengthen our democracy. Join our campaign. Already contributed? Again consider contributing as per your capacity. Every contribution, whether big or small, will be a step towards strengthening the country. Maken said that the country needs you, the National Congress needs you. Your support will fuel the mission and empower us to keep moving forward.
What is the purpose?
Under the Donate for the Country campaign, the Congress Party is asking for a minimum donation of Rs 138 from the people of the country before the Lok Sabha elections. The party will also run a door-to-door campaign for this. Congress plans to reach maximum contact with the people of the country through this donation. According to KC Venugopal, this will be the biggest crowd funding done by the Congress Party. Congress has shared complete details of Donate Four Desh on its website. The party has said that under this campaign, only Indian people and those above 18 years of age can donate. The amount of donation can be Rs 138, Rs 1,380, Rs 13,800 or even 10 times more.
