New Delhi: PM Modi will inaugurate Dwarka Expressway today. While this will make transportation easier for the people of Delhi and Gurugram, the people of entire Haryana will not have to face any difficulties in reaching Delhi. This will help in streamlining the traffic and reducing congestion between Delhi and Gurugram on National Highway-48. This expressway will also provide direct connectivity to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and Gurugram Bypass to the people of Haryana. Dwarka Expressway built between Delhi-Haryana is an excellent example of world-class engineering.

Country’s first elevated expressway

Dwarka Expressway is the first elevated expressway in the country. Its total cost is Rs 5269 crore. The total length of this expressway is 29 kilometers. If we add the length of all the lanes of this expressway, it becomes 563 kilometers long. Along with this, it is the first elevated expressway in the country, which is built on a single pier. This also includes the country’s first 3.6 km long 8 lane wide urban tunnel. Along with this, India’s first four-level interchange has been built at 2 places and three-level interchange has been built at 9 places. Apart from this, major interchanges are connected by elevated service roads.

Will get relief from traffic jam

This is such an urban expressway whose entry point has been constructed on the service lane itself, due to which there will be no traffic jam. This 8-lane elevated expressway also has three-lane service roads on both sides. The total length of elevated roads in Dwarka Expressway is 192 kilometers, while keeping in mind the convenience of the people, 34 underpasses, 31 tunnels and 12 road overbridges have been constructed. This expressway starts from Shiv Murti on NH 8 and goes to Khedki Daula Toll Plaza.

Replantation of 1200 trees was done

While constructing Dwarka Expressway, 1200 trees were properly replanted. This has been done so that the environment is not harmed. 2 lakh metric tons of steel was used in its construction which is 30 times more than the Eiffel Tower. Similarly, 20 lakh cubic cement was used to make it, which is 6 times more than the cement used in Burj Khalifa.

Traffic from Delhi to Haryana will become easier

After the commencement of Dwarka Expressway, the traffic of people of Haryana to Delhi and of people of Delhi to Haryana will become completely easy. With this you will reach Manesar from Dwarka in just 15 minutes. Whereas it will take you only 20 minutes to reach IGI Airport from Manesar. Whereas it will take only 45 minutes to go from Manesar to Sindhu border. Using this, it will take only 25 minutes to go from Delhi to Gurugram. This will save a lot of time for passengers. With this, more than 35 sectors and about 50 villages of Gurugram will get direct benefits. Apart from this, traders will also get benefits like delivery of goods in less time and less fuel consumption. Its construction will reduce the traffic pressure on Delhi-Gurugram Expressway and will also provide relief from the jams here.
