WhatsApp’s biggest update, you can send messages and make calls to other apps

A new feature is about to come in WhatsApp. This feature will allow WhatsApp users to message and call on third party apps like Telegram, Signal, iMessage and Google Message. Meta has shared the plan to integrate this service in WhatsApp. The company said in a blog post that it was working on technology to maintain user privacy and security. Meta also shared a photo to show what third party chats would look like on WhatsApp and Messenger.

Calling feature will be available for third party apps in the year 2027
Meta said that new notifications have been created in WhatsApp and Messenger to notify users about third party chats. This will notify the user about messages coming from new messaging apps. The special thing is that in this, users will be able to decide from which third party app they want to receive messages. According to Meta, users will be able to see all the messages in a single inbox.

If users want, they can also create a separate folder for third party chats. For chatting with third party apps, users will also get ‘Rich Messaging Feature’ like typing indicator, read receipt, direct reply and reaction. As far as the third party calling feature is concerned, the company said that it will be made available in the year 2027. Meta has decided to make a big change in WhatsApp and Messenger under the Digital Market Act of the European Union.

Call link feature will be available in group chat
WhatsApp is soon going to offer a call link feature in group chat. Information about this upcoming feature of WhatsApp has been given by WABetaInfo. According to the report, with the help of this feature, users will be able to create call links in the group chat itself. The special thing about this feature is that calls made with it will start without ringing the users.

This feature is quite similar to Google Meet, in which users connect with other members through a link. WABetaInfo has seen this feature in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.19.14. After the beta testing is completed, this feature will be rolled out to global users.
