New Delhi: India TV Chairman and Editor in Chief Rajat Sharma has given an interview to ANI. In this interview, Rajat Sharma shared many stories from the time of Emergency. He told how he was beaten and sent to Tihar jail. This interview given by Rajat Sharma to ANI can be seen today at 5 pm.
In this interview, Rajat Sharma spoke openly about his childhood, poverty, family and career. He told how he started his life in extreme poverty. Rajat Sharma also told about that time in his life, when the policeman beat him up and he also had to go to Tihar Jail.
Rajat Sharma also told in this interview that his childhood was not as sexy as it is seen on TV nowadays. He told that he was born in a very poor family. His family had only a room measuring 10 by 10 and it did not even have running water. Even to take bath, there was a tap on the street corner, one had to go there.
He told that he and his brother used to take bath from the tap installed at the corner. During this time, he also brought 2 buckets of water for home, which was for mother and sister. These were very difficult days. But later his interest in politics arose because JP’s movement was going on at that time.
