Why are Muslims afraid of CAA law?
CAA law has been implemented by the government across the country. With this law, the Central Government of India will provide great relief to the refugees persecuted in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh and will give them Indian citizenship. But as soon as the law was implemented, it was opposed in many parts of the country. Muslims believe that the introduction of this law may increase the threat to their citizenship. To know the answer to the question why Muslims are afraid of the implementation of CAA, India TV-CNX tried to get the answer from people by conducting an opinion poll. Let us tell you what was the answer received in the opinion poll.
Reason for Muslims’ fear of CAA law?
People of Hindu community are not affected by the CAA implemented in the country. This law is not affecting him in any way, but he also has a strong opinion on this issue. We asked the question to the public and especially to Hindu voters, ‘What is the real reason for Muslims’ fear of the CAA law?’
The public has answered this question as per their own. Let us tell you that 35% people believe that the opposition’s propaganda is behind this. In their response, 21% people said that the reason for the fear spread among Muslims regarding the CAA law is the inflammatory speeches given by Maulanas. While 32% people said that they are getting messages about the government’s intentions, 12% people did not give a clear answer on this and said that they cannot say anything.
Who will benefit from the anti-CAA campaign?
TMC, Congress, Left and Aam Aadmi parties are openly opposing this law. In the opinion poll of India TV-CNX, the second question asked to the public was, ‘Who will benefit from the anti-CAA campaign?’ From the data of opinion poll, it seems that the more opposition there is to this law, the more benefit BJP will get.
The public expressed its opinion while answering this question. 61% people said that BJP will benefit from anti-CAA campaign. Whereas 21% people feel that Trinamool will benefit from this. 7% people said that Congress and Left will benefit from this campaign and 3% people said that AIMIM can benefit from it. Whereas 8% people did not express their opinion on this and said that they cannot say anything.
Are you worried about the implementation of CAA?
Are Muslims worried about the implementation of CAA law by the Government of India? We asked this important question to Muslims in our opinion poll. Responding to this, 65% of Muslim people said that yes, they are worried about its implementation. Whereas 2% people are not concerned about it. And 33% people said that they cannot say anything. This means 33% people could not answer clearly.
Who will benefit from the law?
The Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) 2019 has been implemented in India from March 11. The government will give citizenship to refugees coming from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Its benefit will be available only to those taking refuge in India till 31 December 2014. People of Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, Parsi and Christian religions can take advantage of this. The Center has also prepared a portal for the convenience of the applicants.
