New Delhi: Congress is mulling to release the second list of Lok Sabha candidates. Meanwhile, sources said that the Congress high command wants all the big faces of the states to contest the Lok Sabha elections. The party feels that if big faces contest elections in Hindi speaking states then the party can benefit from it. Congress feels that if strong faces of Congress contest elections in North India, then the party’s claim on all those seats will be stronger.

The party wants to give this message to former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal by contesting the elections. The party wants to field big leaders like Sachin Pilot, Ashok Gehlot, Digvijay Singh, Kamal Nath in the election field.
Discussion of making seven-eight ministers of Karnataka contest Lok Sabha elections
On the other hand, senior Congress leader and Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said on Monday that there is a discussion going on in the party that seven to eight ministers should be fielded in Karnataka in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. However, he said that ultimately the party will decide the names of the candidates. Parameshwara said, “There is talk that seven to eight ministers should contest the elections. Congress has declared the names of its candidates for seven seats in Karnataka in its first list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. There is no name of any state government minister or party MLA in the first list. There are also reports that the minister is not interested in contesting the Lok Sabha elections.
