Lord Ram’s life is to be consecrated in the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya on 22 January. But questions are also being raised as to why Shankaracharya is not attending such a big historical religious function. Now Shankaracharya of Sharda Peeth, Jagadguru Sadanand Saraswati has also clarified the reason regarding this. Shankaracharya of Shardapeeth has said that the four Shankaracharyas are not going because there is going to be a huge crowd there. Our devotees also go with us. To avoid any chaos in the system there, we are not going, but later everyone will go for darshan.

“This moment was waited for a long time”

Shankaracharya Jagadguru Sadanand Saraswati said that we were waiting for this moment for a long time. This place has been disputed for centuries. As per the order of the court, the temple is being constructed and now the consecration is going to take place. Every devotee of Lord Ram and follower of Sanatan Dharma is very happy. This should have happened long ago. He said that the place where Lord Shri Ram was incarnated is called Ram Janmabhoomi. This site was disputed for hundreds of years. The court gave its decision and accordingly the temple was constructed there and is about to be consecrated.

Reason given for not going to consecration

At the same time, when Shankaracharya Jagadguru Sadanand Saraswati was asked why Shankaracharya was not going to Ayodhya for consecration. On this he said that only the four Shankaracharyas are not going to this function. Because there is going to be so much crowd there and many people go with us also. Apart from this, there are some rules as to how many people will go with whom. So, they are not going to Ayodhya so that there is no chaos in the system there. But everyone will go for darshan later.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad had also clarified the reason

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) working president Alok Kumar had on Friday said that two of the four Shankaracharyas have ‘openly welcomed’ the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple but none of them will participate in the grand ritual in Ayodhya on January 22. Will not happen. He told ‘PTI-Bhasha’ that he would visit the Ram temple “at a later date as per his convenience”. This statement of the VHP leader came as opposition parties targeted the BJP over the news of the decision of the Shankaracharyas of Sringeri Sharda Peeth of Karnataka, Dwarka Sharda Peeth of Gujarat, Jyotir Peeth of Uttarakhand and Govardhan Peeth of Odisha not to participate in the consecration ceremony. Came in the middle of going.
