Tension in INDI Alliance.

On one hand, the time for Lok Sabha elections 2024 is slowly approaching, while on the other hand, tension is clearly visible in the INDI Alliance of opposition parties. On one hand, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena is staking claim on 23 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, while on the other hand, Trinamool Congress President Mamata Banerjee has also expressed her desire to contest the elections alone in West Bengal. In such a situation, pressure is increasing on Congress regarding seat sharing among various parties.

Desire to test Bengal alone

Mamata Banerjee on Thursday expressed her desire to test Bengal alone in next year’s Lok Sabha elections. He has said that TMC will fight in Bengal and defeat BJP. Only TMC can teach a lesson to BJP in Bengal, not any other party. However, Mamata said that the India alliance will contest all seats across the country.

Uddhav’s Shiv Sena adamant on 23 seats

A tussle has started between the parties of the opposition alliance over the distribution of Lok Sabha seats. Uddhav’s Shiv Sena is adamant on contesting elections on 23 Lok Sabha seats of Maharashtra. Sanjay Raut has said that Shiv Sena means the biggest party of Maharashtra. He said that we are in talks with the national leaders of Congress regarding seat sharing. Talks are being held with Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge.

Congress’s reply to Uddhav faction

Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam had given a sharp statement on the claim on seats made by the Uddhav group. He had said that if we give you (UBT Shiv Sena) 23 seats out of 48, then where will we fight. The real truth is that in the last one year, Shiv Sena broke and many prominent leaders left the party. Same is the situation of NCP also.
