Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Rameshwar Teli stressed that BJP did not give him a ticket in this election, but he is not at all unhappy with this move of the party. Apart from this, he completely rejected the news related to his resignation from the party. He made it clear, “I am not leaving BJP. There is no possibility of anything like that happening.”
Teli told reporters on Monday, “I am a dutiful and dedicated worker of BJP. If the party is fielding someone else from Dibrugarh in my place, then there is nothing wrong in it.”

Let us tell you that Rameshwar Teli has been representing Dibrugarh continuously since 2014. He was made the Union Minister in the year 2021. This time Sarbananda Sonowal Will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Dibrugarh. Earlier, in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections, he had contested from this seat and won, after which he became an MP. However, Sonewal had to face defeat from the Congress in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections. After 2 years, he joined BJP.

Meanwhile, Teli said that he has already spoken to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma about this. He further said, “I have already talked to the Chief Minister about this. He told me that I can be given a bigger role in the organization.”
