- Stop the gas from the dough ball: If your food is half-cooked and you do not have time to go out to the market, then take a ball of flour and stick it to the place from where the gas is leaking. By doing this the gas will not leak from the cooker.
- Keep rubber in the freezer: Due to continuous use, high pressure and heat, rubber starts expanding. In such a situation, when gas leaks, keep it in the freezer for 20 minutes. By doing this it shrinks. Due to shrinkage, it fits back into the lid. If this method works for you, you will not need to buy new rubber.
- Wash with cold water: If the rubber of the cooker becomes loose, immediately wash it with plain water to tighten it. After washing, apply it on the lid. After this, increase the gas flame and hold the lid with your hand. By doing this the gas gets trapped immediately.
- CT check: Many times garbage gets stuck in the whistle of the cooker lid, due to which the whistle does not come. Therefore, before cooking, check the whistle of the pressure cooker thoroughly. If the whistle of the cooker is damaged, replace it and then use it.
