Filling for making Sattu Kachori

  • About 200 grams of Sattu
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 inch finely chopped ginger
  • 3-4 finely chopped green chillies
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped coriander
  • half teaspoon nigella seeds
  • salt as per taste
  • Mustard oil 2 spoons
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • Half spoon dry mango powder
  • 1 tsp fennel powder
  • half spoon cumin powder
  • half spoon coriander powder

  1. Take about 1 cup of all purpose flour or wheat flour. Add salt, half spoon celery, 3 spoons oil to it and knead a soft dough. And keep the dough covered with a wet cloth for about 30 minutes. After this, heat oil in the pan and add asafoetida and cumin seeds in it. After this add green chillies, ginger, onion and then add sattu, coriander powder and fennel and keep frying them. When Sattu turns a little brown, add garam masala, dry mango powder and salt to it. Later add green coriander.

  2. Now take a ball from the dough and make it a little bigger and fill the Sattu filling with a spoon. Similarly, first fill all the kachoris and prepare them. After filling the kachoris, press them lightly with your hands to make them bigger. Now sprinkle light oil on the Kachoris or grease all the Kachoris with the help of a brush. Heat the air fryer at 360 degrees for about 5 minutes and then place the kachoris in the air fryer basket and bake for about 5 minutes.

  3. To make crispy and crunchy kachoris, keep baking them by turning them occasionally. With this, all the kachoris will be cooked evenly and crisp. In this way you can easily prepare kachoris without oil and ghee.
