Dahi Bhalla is made in most of the houses during the festival of Holi. If you feel like eating something salty along with something sweet, then Dahi Bhalla is the perfect dish for it. However, some people find it difficult to make Dahi Bhalla at home. Some people complain that their Dahi Bhalla becomes hard. Today we are telling you the recipe of making such soft Dahi Bhalla which will melt as soon as you put it in the mouth. You can easily make cotton-like soft curd balls. If you are fond of eating Dahi Bhalla then definitely try this recipe.

Ingredients for making Dahi Bhalla

  • Washed urad dal – half cup soaked
  • Moong dal – half cup soaked
  • Salt- 1 tsp
  • Eno salt- ¼ tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1 pinch
  • Fresh curd- 2 cups
  • Sugar- 2 tsp
  • Black salt- half teaspoon
  • Tamarind Red Chutney
  • coriander green chutney

Recipe to make Dahi Bhalla

  • Wash both the lentils and drain all the water thoroughly.

  • Put the lentils in a mixer and grind them by adding 3-4 spoons of water.

  • Grind the dal coarsely like semolina, not very finely.

  • Now put the dal in a bowl and beat it until it starts looking fluffy.

  • To check the dal, pour water in a bowl and add some beaten dal in it.

  • If the dal has risen to the top then understand that the dal is completely ready.

  • Keep in mind that the dal should be beaten from one side, due to this it swells quickly and well.

  • After beating, the quantity of dal will almost double, this is a special tip.

  • Now add 1 teaspoon salt in it and add Eno salt.

  • Keep oil in the pan to heat and keep water in a bowl.

  • Now wet your hands and take the batter and make it a light round and put it in the pan.

  • You have to fry all the balls like this till they become light golden brown.

  • Take them out in a plate and when all the balls are cooked, put them in lukewarm water.

  • Mix sugar powder, black salt in curd, beat it and make it smooth.

  • Now squeeze out the curd bhalla from water and keep it in a plate.

  • Pour curd over it and then add green and red sour chutney.

  • While serving Dahi Bhalla, add red chilli, roasted and ground cumin and some chaat masala on top.

  • Very soft and very tasty Dahi Bhalla is ready, serve it to guests on Holi.
