It is believed that eating sesame seeds on this day is very auspicious. Therefore, on the festival of Makar Sankranti, people prepare sesame laddus, chikki and many other dishes in their homes. In such a situation, on this day you can also make sesame pudding along with laddus. People often make sesame pudding as a sweet to offer to God. Consuming sesame seeds is also beneficial from health point of view. Making sesame pudding is quite simple. Let us know the method of making sesame pudding.

Ingredients for making sesame pudding

White sesame – 1 bowl, semolina – 1 bowl, chopped almonds – 1 tablespoon, chopped cashews – 1 tablespoon, chopped walnuts – 1 tablespoon, makhana – 1/2 bowl, raisins – 1 tablespoon, cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon Desi Ghee – 1/2 bowl, Sugar – as per taste

Method of making sesame pudding

To soften the sesame seeds, first take hot water in a vessel and put the sesame seeds in it and soak it for 2-3 hours. After 3 hours, take out the sesame seeds from water and grind them in a grinder. Now take out the sesame paste in a bowl and keep it aside. Now turn on the gas and add desi ghee in a pan. When the ghee melts, add semolina to it and fry until it turns golden. Now take out the semolina from the pan and mix it well with the sesame paste. Now pour this mixture back into the pan and fry while stirring. Bake it until the color of sesame seeds becomes light brown. After this, add water as per requirement in this mixture and stir continuously with a ladle so that lumps do not form. After the semolina and sesame seeds thicken well, add sugar to it, mix and cook for 2 more minutes. Now mix cardamom powder, chopped cashews, almonds and raisins in it. Flavorful sesame pudding is ready.
