Most people use Kasoori Methi available in the market, but you can easily make Kasoori Methi at home too. Winter is the season for green aromatic fenugreek. How to make Kasuri Methi at home

  1. Fresh green fenugreek comes in the market in winter. To make Kasuri Methi, select clean and small green fenugreek leaves.

  2. Remove the leaves and wash the fenugreek thoroughly with clean water 2-3 times.

  3. Now dry the fenugreek in a cloth or strainer. When the water drains, spread the fenugreek seeds on a microwave tray.

  4. Microwave the fenugreek for 3 minutes. You have to run the microwave on high heat only and turn the fenugreek once in between.

  5. Once again microwave the fenugreek for 3 minutes. Turn over and microwave again on high heat for 2 more minutes.

  6. When the fenugreek cools down a bit, crush it with hands. Keep the fenugreek out for a while, when it feels completely dry, seal it in a box and store it.

  7. You can store Kasoori Methi throughout the year if kept in an air tight container. Its fragrance will also remain.

  8. You can make Kasuri Methi even without microwave. For this, wash the leaves and dry them on a newspaper.

  9. Dry the fenugreek in the fan and when the leaves dry, keep them in the sun for some time.

  10. In this way it will be easier to crush fenugreek. Store fenugreek in an airtight box.
