Every year, apart from Basant Panchami, the day of Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Magh month is also celebrated as the birth anniversary of Mother Saraswati. The festival of Basant Panchami is celebrated to mark the arrival of spring season. This time Basant Panchami will be celebrated on 14 February 2024. According to mythological belief, Mother Saraswati was born on this day for the purpose of welfare of the world. Along with this, on the day of Basant Panchami, to please Mother Saraswati and become the object of her grace, definitely offer her favorite things in her worship on this day.

Actually, on the day of Basant Panchami, wearing yellow colored clothes and eating yellow colored food is considered very auspicious. There is a belief in religious scriptures that Mother Saraswati likes yellow colored food very much. In such a situation, Rajbhog is offered to please Goddess Saraswati. You can also prepare Rajbhog to please your mother. This sweet is made from cottage cheese. It is also quite easy to make. Let us tell you how to make Rajbhog?

material for royal feast

  1. Paneer – 200 grams
  2. Water – 2 cups
  3. Sugar – 1/2 kg
  4. golden food color
  5. saffron, cardamom powder
  6. almonds, pistachios

Rajbhog recipe

To make Rajbhog sweet, first take half a kilo of cottage cheese and mash it completely. Now rub the cheese until it becomes soft. When the cheese becomes soft, make it into a round ball and keep it in a bowl. Now turn on the gas and keep the pan on it. Add half a cup of water and half a kilo of sugar in the bhog and also add cardamom powder, pistachios and almonds in it. When the sugar gets mixed with the syrup water, add food color to it and increase the flame of the gas.

Put the paneer balls in this syrup. Cover and cook it on high flame for 15 to 20 minutes. During this, add water every 5 minutes so that the sugar does not thicken. When the paneer is cooked, take out the balls from the syrup and press them gently. Now cool it and serve. In this way, you can easily prepare Rajbhog at home to offer to Goddess Saraswati.
