Indian Team: IPL is the most watched cricket league in the world. Players get both money and fame by playing here. Many star cricketers have made their career by playing in IPL. But many players are seen playing only in IPL and do not play for their state team in domestic cricket. Now BCCI will deal strictly with this. A big update has come out regarding this. Let us know about it.
‘Players should not play only in IPL’
A senior BCCI official said that BCCI policy makers are well aware of the fact that some players do not want to play red ball cricket. If he is out of the Indian team then he can play in domestic cricket. But players do not join their state team. To prevent players from doing this, the board can make it mandatory to play three-four matches of Ranji Trophy. If the player does not do this then he cannot play in the IPL and even if his franchise releases him he cannot participate in the IPL auction.
The BCCI official further said that the state units believe that BCCI should make some strict rules in this regard so that young players do not make it a habit to play only in IPL. He plays in Ranji Trophy. It is also learned that the Indian team management is worried about players who do not want to play in Ranji Trophy even if they are fit. We can understand Hardik Pandya’s case. Because his staying fit for the ICC tournament is important for India. But there are some other young players whom they talk to and say that they are still working on their fitness. This trend has to be stopped.
Ishan Kishan is not playing in Ranji Trophy
From this it has become clear that if the players are out of the national team then they will have to participate in the Ranji Trophy tournament. Otherwise he may be wiped out from IPL. Jharkhand’s star wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan is out of Team India. He is not playing in domestic cricket. Ishaan was selected by BCCI in the team for the South Africa tour, but due to personal reasons he took a break. Not only this, meanwhile he was seen practicing with Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya in Baroda. When his Ranji team Jharkhand was not performing well. Still he did not join the team.
