All the fans are keeping an eye on which players will be retained and which players will be released before the players auction process of the 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). All franchises have to submit the list of their retained and released players by 4 pm on 26th November. This time many big names can be seen bidding in the auction. There are also many big names whom their franchises can release with a view to increase their purse value before going into the auction. After which we are going to tell you about such big players whom their team can release.

1- Hardik Pandya

If one team has shown consistency in its performance in the last 2 seasons of IPL, it is the Gujarat Titans team playing under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya. However, now such reports are coming out that Hardik Pandya may once again enter the Mumbai Indians team through the trading window rule, for which Gujarat Titans is expected to get an amount around Rs 15 crore.

2 – Sam Curran

England team’s all-rounder Sam Curran, part of the Punjab Kings team, was included by the franchise in the IPL 2023 auction for Rs 18.5 crore, which is also the most expensive player in the IPL history so far. However, Karan’s performance was not at that level after which Punjab can decide to release him and also increase their purse value.

3 – Ben Stokes

England Test team captain Ben Stokes has already made it clear that he will not play the IPL 2024 season. Now Chennai Super Kings have the option to release Stokes before going to auction and increase their purse value by Rs 16.25 crore. This will give them a better chance to include a better player in their team for the new season.

4 – Jofra Archer

The fast bowlers of the England team have been out of the field for the last few years due to frequent injuries. There is doubt over his playing this season also. In such a situation, Mumbai Indians may decide to release Joffra, because despite being fit, whether Archer will be able to bowl at the same speed or not can also become a dilemma for Mumbai.

5 – Jason Holder

Former West Indies team captain Jason Holder is counted among the best all-rounder players in the limited overs format. Holder was included in the Rajasthan Royals team by paying a huge amount of Rs 5 crore 75 lakh in the IPL 2023 auction. However, Holder got a chance to bat only 11 balls in eight matches in which he managed to score only 12 runs. Apart from this, in bowling, Holder had taken only 4 wickets with a poor average of 71.

6 – Enrique Norkhia

Before the start of the World Cup 2023, South African fast bowler Enrique Norkhia was ruled out of the entire tournament due to injury. Till now, no major update has come regarding Norkhia’s return, after which Delhi Capitals may decide to release him.

7 – Lockie Ferguson

New Zealand team’s star all-rounder Lockie Ferguson is also counted among the bowlers who are constantly injured. Ferguson played only three matches for Kolkata Knight Riders last season, so KKR may decide not to retain him.
